Vernee Apollo Lite gets official teaser video

Budget Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vernee has today released an official teaser for their newest handset, the Vernee Apollo Lite.

We reported on the handset earlier this month and were quite impressed with it’s performance to price ratio, harboring a powerful MediaTek Helio X20 and 4GB RAM for just $229.99. Today, the company has released a YouTube video showing more detailed renders  of the device, which definitely bears a passing resemblance to the OnePlus 3. The footage shows off the space grey model, which comes in a matte finish courtesy of that metal unibody design.

Vernee Apollo Lite keeps it clean

Aesthetically, Vernee seems to be keeping things minimal, with a lack of physical buttons and a very clean appearance. On the back we can see two antenna lines top and bottom, plus that 16 megapixel Samsung ISOCELL sensor which we expect to take decent quality snaps.

The Vernee Apollo Lite is available for pre-order now through retailers such as GearBest, with the company running a global pre-sale deal until July 30th where customers can get a $30 discount coupon from the Vernee Facebook page. Like most Chinese OEM devices, it’s unlikely that the device will ever launch officially in the UK.
