We all know that the Mac Pro is going to set us back as fair bit when it launches in December. But if you’re in a charitble mood, you can go all out on a red Mac Pro this November.

The red Mac Pro will be going on a charity auction held by Apple’s Jony Ive, Marc Newton and, uh, Bono. Last time we checked he wasn’t an Apple employee, but we don’t flag it up. The estimated sale price for the machine is some £35,000.

That money will go towards charities combating AIDS, TB and malaria. It might be a lot more, but it’s for a brilliant cause and you’ll get the thing early as a little bonus.
