Hoping that the upgraded form factor of the iPad Air and improved Retina display of the new iPad Mini will pave the way for more RAM? Apple customer service is here to stop you in your tracks.

Phone Arena reports that, in a chat with the company’s customer services, it was revealed that both devices would have 1GB of RAM. That’s the best as the previous devices before them, and the iPhone 5s.

Disappointed? We’ll admit we are a little. 1GB of RAM is fine and all, but a lot of other devices at least double that at the moment. It’s not confirmed, but we’re sure apple customer service is on the money.

Still, there’s always next year, hey?
