The ZTE Axon Elite has officially gone on sale in the UK today via an online eBay retailer.

ZTE has today begun shipping the flagship killing Axon Elite smartphone on UK shores via eBay retailer mobileskingdom. While the term ‘flagship killer’ is thrown around quite loosely these days, the Axon is an especially premium device with a list price of only £299 (or best offer).

For the price, you’ll be getting a device with a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB RAM. This comes incredibly close to matching the OnePlus 2, which retails for a similar price. The only difference is, the Axon can be acquired immediately without having to endure the infamous ‘invites’ system. It has an eye-catching metal unibody design with leather bumpers on the top and bottom, giving it quite a unique look. The dual rear camera has both 13 megapixel and 2 megapixel rear sensors, which should make for some interesting dual focus effects. The front camera is equally impressive at 8 megapixels and can be used to unlock the device thanks to ZTE’s own ‘EyePrint ID’ software.

To top it off, there’s also a fingerprint reader and dual-sim compatibility, plus 32GB included storage. This can be expanded a further 128GB through the use of a microSD card. The battery is no slouch either at a hefty 3000 mAh.

If you’re after a smartphone that can comfortably compete with the OnePlus 2, the ZTE Axon Elite is definitely worth a look.
