A Surface Pro 2 update has launched for Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 tablet. But, oh wait, it’s been taken back down again too.
Microsoft has pulled the update after reported issues with the device’s battery and installation. Apparently the battery’s capacity is reduced post-update, and charging the thing won’t take it to full. Sadly a fix won’t be coming until after the holiday season, the company has confirmed.
We haven’t heard anything about an easy way to roll back the issue, so you might have to just sit on it for a few weeks. Well, don’t actually sit on it. That probably won’t help. Hopefully the Surface Pro 2 update will be with us soon.
