Samsung win best carbon footprint award

Samsung have been awarded by Carbon Trust for Best in Product Carbon Footprint.

Samsung have won the prestigious award since 2012 with it’s Galaxy series of smartphones. The Galaxy S5 has reduced its emission levels by 27% compared to the Galaxy S2. This isn’t the first time that Samsung have won awards for being eco-friendly, the Ecological Union and Underwriter’s Laboratories have also awarded Samsung in the past for the company’s dedication to reducing emission.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge have been awarded eco-friendly carbon labelling certifications in US, UK, Japan, Korea, and Russia. Meaning the devices contain no hazardous chemicals. The Carbon Trust began in 2009 to promote low-carbon environment and to check product carbon emissions.
