The Samsung Galaxy Note II is set to go on sale on the 1st October here in the UK and will be available online from all operators, as well as Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II takes over from the original Note, updating its predecessor’s 5.3-inch screen with an even larger 5.5-inch panel. Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Note II sports a Super AMOLED HD display with a 1280 x 720-pixel resolution.
With an overall weight of 180g, it’s heavier than the previous Note but also slightly thinner. And it comes with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system in place, as well as Samsung’s S-Pen stylus optimised TouchWiz interface, so you’ll be able to use this tablet/smartphone hybrid in any way you’d like.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II is powered by a 1.6GHz Exynos quad-core processor that is backed by 2GB of RAM. With three choices of storage on offer, you can choose between 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, as well as MicroSD support for cards up to 64GB, so storage will never be an issue.
Extra features include an 8-Megapixel rear-facing camera and 2-Megapixel front-facing camera, as well as 3100mAh battery, MHL (TV out), Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth and GPS.
Pre-order pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Note II starts at £440 SIM free and as little as £30 a month on contract.
