iOS Pebble app store for smartwatch launches today, Android soon to follow

Pebble, one of the leading smartwatches currently available, have today launched their app store for iOS.

Prior to today, Pebble wearers have had to traverse the depths of Apple’s App Store in search of compatible, often 3rd party, apps for their smartwatch.

Through bluetooth pairing apps can now be magically beamed from your iPhone, iPod or iPad to your wrist with just a few clicks in Pebble’s tailor-made store.

Given the Pebble’s eight app limit, having a tethered device and account will surely make managing your smartwatch easier than ever before, not to mention greatly increasing the usability for timid potential customers.

No release date has been given, but Pebble promise that an Android app store is soon to follow.

When combined with the recent release of the Pebble Steel (a considerably more subtle and stylish look for the smartwatch), it would seem that Pebble are really working hard to push their luxury device into the mainstream.
