While most buyers are still waiting to receive its much-delayed smartphone, new rumours have surfaced online that Chinese manufacturer OnePlus is working on a tablet.

According to notorious online leaker @evleaks, the company’s website has already divulged that it is in fact working on a slate. The original tweet from @evleaks with the site’s screenshot displaying a button for a ‘OnePlus tab’ can be seen below:

Despite no other details about the rumoured slate being revealed, it is plausible that the company could be working on the device – particularly considering how much publicity and acclaim its OnePlus One smartphone has received.

However, the manufacturer has now dismissed the rumours, according to @evleaks. See tweet below:

The latest delay to hit the OnePlus One smartphone regards the ‘CE mark’ – which is mandatory many  products to be sold in the EU – being written in the wrong font on its newest shipment of phones. Consequently, the new batch of handsets  was held at customs. OnePlus stated that this process could take up to an extra two weeks, meaning those with an order are set to be waiting up until some time later this month to receive their brand new smartphone.

If it can emulate the OnePlus One’s solid specs and attractive price tag, the we’re all for a OnePlus slate – not to mention any amount of products from the new kid on the block. let’s just hope it can do away with all the delays next time round.
