Nexus 5 camera could have post-shot focus

We’re hearing a few snippets about the (still rumoured) Nexus 5 camera today. Myce has obtained data logs that suggest the new snapper could come with some cool features.

Apparently the phone’s camera will use a MEMS sensor. As we all know, MEMS stands for microelectromechanical system. Of course we knew that. It can be used for various parts of the phone, but in the camera it delivers super fast focusing. It should take less than 10 milliseconds for the sensor to make a clear shot.

More interestingly there’s also support for multi-focus. This means that the camera will store a few different focus points and let you switch between them post-shot. That should make for some cool customisation and save users the hassle of perfecting pictures in the moment. Expect the Nexus 5 camera to be just one of many new features for the upcoming LG smartphone. We’ve seen plenty of other leaks with yet more specifications.
