We’re expecting Android KitKat 4.4 to be released in a matter of weeks, but we’re still not sure on just what the update will bring. That is until now.
Some new info on some of 4.4’s shiny features has popped up. One of the most significant updates seems to be native printing. KitKat will include a direct option for printing on images and documents, removing the need for other software and hardware. It’s thought that there might be a form of cloud integration to help wireless printing, and you’ll even be able to save docs as PDFs.
Elsewhere, Android KitKat will bring a few upgrades to the OS’s camera software, albeit relatively incremental ones. There’s set to be a new ‘graduated’ exposure, and the hue exposure will have a green, red and blue filter option.
We’re sure more updates are inbound, but these are some nice bonuses. Hopefully both KitKat and the (still unannounced) Nexus 5 will be released around the same time a little later on this month.
