Dell has unveiled the Latitude 10 tablet as part of its Windows 8 line-up of computer hardware that are set to launch on October 25.
The Dell Latitude 10 tablet has a rather stylish and understated look, which is at odds with the fact Dell is targeting the tablet at education, government and healthcare markets.
The Dell Latitude 10 tablet brings with it a 10.1-inch display that delivers a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Powered by an Intel Atom processor, we can look forward to 2GB of RAM and up to 128GB of Flash storage.
With a card and fingerprint reader, security is high on the agenda with the Dell Latitude 10. What’s more, if you’re looking for a wide range of connectivity options, then the USB 2.0, mini-HDMI ports and a SD card slot will certainly appeal. Then there is the 720p front-mounted video camera as well as rear-mounted 8-Megapixel camera.
With an eye on all-day performance, the Dell Latitude 10 comes with a choice of interchangeable 2-cell and 4-cell batteries, which Dell is claiming can offer up to 20 hours of uninterrupted usage. A separate dock is also set to be made available, but won’t be an attachable keyboard dock as with other Windows 8 tablet hybrids set to launch.
When it comes to pricing and availability, we’ll have to wait for the official Windows 8 launch date of October 25 when all will be revealed.
