The HTC Windows Phone 8X and HTC Windows Phone 8S are set to compete with the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820, respectively, as best in class Windows Phone 8 devices when they launch later this year. The HTC smartphones have taken an early lead by announcing pricing for the UK.
If you’re looking to get your hands on the first Windows Phone 8 devices when they launch later this year, it may well be worth considering the HTC Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S as the prices are highly aggressive and certainly cheaper than pundits were expecting.
The high-end HTC Windows Phone 8X is set to cost £398.98 (inc. VAT), while the more mid-range Windows Phone 8S comes in at £224.98 (inc. VAT).
The Windows Phone 8X is the high-end variant of the pair, coming with a 4.3-inch display and 1.5GHz dual-core processor. Inside you’ll find 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, Beats Audio and NFC.
Meanwhile, the Windows Phone 8S, which is being pitched against the Nokia Lumia 820, comes with a smaller 4-inch display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage and 5-Megapixel camera.
You can pre-order your HTC Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S and both will be made available in November along with the launch of other Windows Phone 8 devices.
