Those of us in the UK looking to get a cheap iPhone 6 in the United States will have to look elsewhere as the pound crashes to a new 31-year low.
British holiday tourists have long used the United States as an easy opportunity to pick up cheap iPhone 6 devices, namely thanks to the strength of the pound against the dollar. I want my cheap iPhone 6
Previously, the lesser sales tax in the United States would mean you could pick up an Apple iPhone for as little as £390, though prices have been steadily rising since mid-2014. Still, UK tourists could hope to save roughly £50-80 on the typical Apple device when compared to buying at home. Today represents the first day that we’ve seen this change, with the US price hitting £544 (including sales tax), £5 more than when buying outright in the UK.
