Samsung’s much rumoured upcoming smartwatch, the Galaxy Gear, is rumoured to be released in five colour variants.
A report from Sam Mobile has revealed that the device, pegged for a launch on September 4th at Samsung’s UNPACKED event, will be available in white, orange, grey and black with an additional white gold model to be launched a week after the other models in later September/early October.
Sam Mobile has claimed that the news has come from a Samsung insider who has stated that the exact dates of the releases may shift (the first wave of devices is currently scheduled to launch in week 39 of this year with the white gold model launching in week 40) and that Samsung may go on to include additional colours in the Galaxy Gear range.
So far we don’t have any information on the sexed-up names the South Korean tech giant will inevitably have planned for the colours (‘grey’ just doesn’t have the right ring to it) but with an early September release date in mind it looks like we won’t have long to wait.
Reports surfaced just a couple of days ago giving us a clue as to what the Galaxy Gear, Samsung’s new foray into wearable technology, will look like under the hood and that the device will launch simultaneously on both sides of the Atlantic at events in Berlin and New York.
