Apple has confirmed figures on how many people are running iOS 7, with approximately 200 million of you choosing to upgrade. With over 500 million iOS devices on the market, that’s not bad going for just a few days work.

Android has struggled with fragmentation for many years, a problem Apple has managed to avoid. Currently only 8.5% of all Android devices run Android 4.2.x, which is the latest figures we have — despite Android 4.3 being the latest version of the Android operating system.

Apple’s 200 million iOS 7 upgrade makes it easy for developers to target those users, with the new APIs and design language being available to 200 million users.
