Angry Birds Movie Trailer arrives in cringe-worthy debut

Rovio and Columbia pictures have just revealed the debut trailer for The Angry Birds Movie… And it’s a little on the cheesy side.

After the dismal display from Angry Birds in 2014, it’s surprising to see a feature film arriving on our screens. Profits plummeted last year and reviews for the new Angry Birds 2 have been less than stellar. In essence, the idea of an Angry Birds film is bittersweet considering the situation.

Despite the star-studded cast which includes Peter Dinklage, Angry Birds the movie appears to fall at the first hurdle. It’s just not very funny. The story centres around ‘Red’, a bird that has anger management issues *cue sniggering*. His life sucks, he gets rejected by girls and frequently attends anger management classes. That’s about all I could get from it.

Obviously, I’ll let you all judge for yourselves but for me, the jokes fell flat on their face.
