YotaPhone 2 owners can expect a new software update for their new devices. The device will also be able to buy in black from May 14 and prices have been reduced from £555 to £440.

So what can YotaPhone 2 owners look forward to? The device will get Android Lollipop, the latest Android operating system, and the colours on the white Yotaphone 2’s E-Ink screen will look lighter and brighter. There’s also a reduced waiting time for the E-ink to redraw.

The software has also been enhanced with the introduction of a centralised home button that makes navigating and controlling the device much easier. Notifications have also been enlarged and you’ll be able to select one of 70 stock images to display alongside a message.

A host of new apps have also been added. These include YotaNotes, YotaSports, YotaFitness, MusixMatch and a remote that works with Samsung and LG smart TVs.

There’s also a massive library of books included. Bookmate is offering a subscription service of over 500,000 texts. Over 100,000 of these are in English.
