Xperia Z1 KitKat update coming in early November?

It sounds like the latest Android version will be public within a month – it’s rumoured that the Xperia Z1 KitKat 4.4 update will be hitting on November 7th.

Android SAS is reporting as much. The outlet states that the Xperia Z1 will be the first of Sony’s devices to get the update, while the likes of the Xperia Z1 Ultra will be getting it at an unknown date. If true then it’s the first specific date we’ve had slapped on the OS. It’s very possible that Google itself beats it to the punch with the release of the Nexus 5, but we’re still waiting on a confirmed date for that one.

We’re currently unsure of just what the update will offer. But if some of the other leaks we’ve seen are on the mark then expect the Xperia Z1 KitKat to offer improved camera functions and native printing among other things.
