Fresh off the heels of its extensive June update, Microsoft has announced details of its upcoming July upgrade for its Xbox One console.
The next Xbox One system update will enhance achievement tracking and the console’s Snap feature, among other features due in July, Microsoft confirmed at the E3 games expo.
Consequently, achievements will now get a Snap Mode (see below image) that allows the user to track his or her progress in a separate window without leaving the game.
Also announced was a ‘get help’ option that will send the Xbox one searching for tips and strategy content to help users complete all game achievements.
Additionally, the option to double-tap a controller button to bring up Snap – or to switch between Snapped applications – will also be introduced.
Other features include support for New Zealand and Ireland in English-language voice control , and Austria in the german language option. Users will also be able to register their ‘like’ of a game DVR clip.
Finally, Microsoft added that it is working on digital bundle and disc compilation offerings for publishers, which should lead to “more flexible combinations of game titles and game content”.
