Yesterday we reported on a leak of a wi-fi only version of Sonys Xperia Z Ultra. Today, that model has been confirmed… in Japan.
The 6.4-inch device is intended to be Sony’s answer to the mini tablet market. Ironcially we’ve always thought of it as a little big for a phablet (how it was originally released), and now it seems pretty small for a tablet.
The Wi-fi only Z Ultra hits stores on Friday, January 24th. It boasts the same 1080p dislay, Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and the 8-megapixel camera. It’s going for ¥52,000, which works out to around £302. An Xperia Z Ultra phablet goes for around £425 around these parts so it’s quite a saving.
