WATCH: Starting June, PlayStation Plus will give you TWO free titles on each PlayStation platform!

Sony are stepping up their PlayStation Plus free games programme as of June.

What was already a pretty generous service is about to go even further and, most importantly, add a little more consistency. Previously there wasn’t really a hard-and-fast rule as to how many games would be released, or even when, with the numbers often varying from month to month.

Sony has acted to rectify this. We now know that each active Sony platform (that’s PlayStation 3, Playstation 4 and PlayStation Vita) will be receiving two titles every month. Furthermore, those six titles in total will be arriving on the first Tuesday of every month.

As is the way with the PS Plus service, those titles will also be rendered  unavailable on the first Tuesday of the following month. So, if you see a title you like the look of then make sure you grab it within its one month window (you don’t even have to download it there and then, just make sure you ‘buy’ it). You’ll also need to maintain your PS Plus subscription in order to continue to access previously downloaded games.

So, without further ado, feast your eyes on the six titles hitting the PS Plus store on the PlayStation Network this June. PS4 players are getting a double-whammy for the first time, with indie icon Trine 2: Complete Story and quirky twin-stick shooter PixelJunk Shooter: Ultimate. PS3 gamers get two bonafide classics in NBA 2K14 and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, and PS Vita owners can look forward to the wonderfully creative Terraria and old-school platformer Mutant Mudd Deluxe. You can check them all out in the video at the top of your page.
