WATCH: The first promotional video for the LG G Watch

We first revealed that LG was to be releasing a smartwatch some time ago, with a few images surfacing along with some minimal info. But now we have our first solid look at the device in motion… sort of.

This is the first video of the LG G Watch, LG’s first foray into the smart wearable market. Can it rival Samsung and the Gear 2 range? Probably. Can it rival the much-hyped Moto 360? We’re not so sure. It doesn’t look ugly, by any means, but now that we’ve seen just how fantastic Android Wear can look it’s rather hard to get excited for it.

Regardless, the next stage will be a live software demo – that’s what will really influence people’s feelings towards the G Watch. For now you can take a look at the video above and make up your own mind.
