Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S5, is generating huge sales despite mixed reviews and criticism focussing on its design (which forced the Korean manufacturer’s design chief to resign last week).

According to a report from South Korea, the world’s biggest handset maker has managed to move more than 10 million Galaxy S5 handsets in just 25 days.

This in turn makes it Samsung’s quickest-selling smartphone ever.

It reached the blockbuster figures two days quicker than the Galaxy S4, whereas the Galaxy S III reached the same milestone after 50 days. As for the Galaxy S II ‘ Samsung hit the 10 million mark after seven long months.

These are all global figures, with the S5 smartphone currently retailing in more than 125 countries.
