Vodafone prepares to launch the Huawei Ascend Mate

Huawei’s Ascend Mate has found a launch partner in the UK with Vodafone announcing their intention to start stocking the handset from the middle of this month.

The Huawei had the biggest screen on the smartphone when it was announced, coming in at 6.1 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 720 as well as a high capacity battery that it was claimed would offer two full days use before requiring recharging.

The Ascend Mate has since been overtaken in screen size by the Sony Xperia Z Ultra which has been announced with a 6.4 inch screen.

Vodafone have not released information on potential price or availability so far.
