The launch of the Meizu Pro 5 has been delayed due to Typhoon Mujigae affecting the Guangdong province.

Meizu’s factories are based in the Guangdong province and due to the recent adverse weather conditions, factories experienced severe flooding. The Pro 5 was due to be released mid-October.

A representative of Meizu stated the delay affected the manufacturing of the Pro 5’s unibody. The delay could take as long as a month. Meizu’s announcement only mentioned delays to the Pr0 5, with no mention of delays to the Meizu MX5.

Two models will be available at launch with differing levels of internal memory. There’s a 32GB model with 3GB RAM and a 64GB model with 4GB RAM. Both devices sport a price-tag of $439 and $490.
