With the advent of summer comes the annual Steam Summer Sale. So, kiss goodbye to the outdoors and get ready for a season of gaming instead, as a variety of popular titles get their prices drastically cut.

The event, which runs until 30 June, sees a number of PC and Mac games’ prices reduced by up to 80%.

This month’s notable reductions include Far Cry 3 for £3.74 (down from £14.99), DayZ for £16.99 (down from £19.99), XCOM: Enemy Unknown for £8.24 (down from £24.99) and Dead Rising 3 for £29.99 (down from £39.99).

Additionally, over the next ten days Valve will also be running eight-hour flash sales to add to the low-cost frenzy, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled.

This year also sees the start of the ’Steam Summer Adventure’, which has people collecting, crafting, and trading cards only available during the sale in order to earn rewards.

Forget going on holiday, now is the time to spend that hard earned cash on your favourite PC titles. Head on over to the Steam Store to grab yourself a bargain.
