Sony Mobile is adding to its stylish range of entry-level Android handsets with the forthcoming release of the Android 4.0-equipped Sony Xperia Miro and Sony Xperia Tipo.

The Xperia Miro is a 3.5-inch toushcreen phone that comes in a choice of four eye-catching colours and packs the latest Android OS, along with an 800MHz Qualcomm processor, 5MP camera, and Sony’s xLOUD audio technology for enjoying your music with improved clarity.

With deep Facebook integration featured throughout the OS, the Miro also lets you share your contacts, photos and music with ease across your social networks, aiming it squarely at the keenest Facebook fans.

In contrast, the Xperia Tipo is aimed more at first-time buyers moving from a feature-phone to their first smartphone. Also powered by Android 4.0, the Tipo packs a 3.2-inch screen, 3.2MP camera, and will be available in a dual-SIM version to make it quick and easy for you to switch between tariffs.

While some online retailers are already offering the Miro for pre-order at around £126, on-sale dates have yet to be confirmed, although we’ve heard rumours that the Tipo may be set for launch in July and the Miro could be on the way in August.
