The two korean juggernauts of the mobile industry seem to be coming more and more similar each day, and today comes a rumour that both Samsung’s and LG’s upcoming handsets could share some of the same internals.
According to several Korean publications, the Samsung Galaxy Note III and LG Optimus G2 will be the first devices on the market to feature a whopping 3GB of RAM, which means you can open as many apps as you like and there shouldn’t be too much of an effect on the device’s performance.
They are also set to feature the very same Snapdragon 800 processors, meaning these devices may have to solely compete on the skin-deep stuff, such as design and screen size.
We currently don’t have much in the way of rumoured specifications for the LG Optimus G2, but the Galaxy Note III is rumoured to feature a 5.99-inch Super AMOLED display as well as a 13-megapixel camera.
It’s rumoured that both devices will come with Android 4.3 on-board, but Samsung’s Galaxy Note III is going to feature Samsung’s TouchWiz interface on-top.
The internals these devices share would make them, on paper at least, the most powerful devices on the market, meaning if you’re after performance, a South Korean-made phone may be the way to go.
