Could Samsung’s next Galaxy ditch plastic for metal?

Samsung could be able to turn the tables on the criticism regarding the Samsung Galaxy S4’s plasticky design, by turning the entire line metallic.

This is according to a patent uncovered by Patent Bolt, but filed in South Korea in 2011, which indicates that Samsung is considering a more angular design for the upcoming smartphone.

Whilst this does suggest that Samsung is at least considering a metallic design for a Samsung phone, it might not even be the next Galaxy S nor a Galaxy at all, it could be a future ATIV device.

We’re of course hopeful that Samsung does turn to the more premium looking and feeling metallic design, although there has been no indication that is going to happen imminently.

Would a metallic Galaxy S5 spark your interest or do you prefer the plastic? Let us know in the comments below.
