It’s coming later today, whether or not it will arrive in the UK remains a mystery, but there’s no doubt in our mind that we’ll be seeing it arrive in the US by the end of the day.
The Moto X is one of the worst kept secrets in phone history, with the company seemingly not caring about showing the device off before its official.
We’ve been able to put together quite a lot of information from this hero Google phone, including the specs, the design and much more.
So without further adieu here are the 5 things we know about the Moto X.
[alert type=alert-blue ]1) The Design[/alert]
We always love it when the design leaks ahead of the announcement, and the Moto X has had its fair share of leaked images — even a press render.
[alert type=alert-blue ]2) The Camera Specs[/alert]
The Moto X is said to come with a 10-megapixel “Clear Pixel” camera, capable of recording Full HD video at 60fps. It should have impressive low-light quality which is always good, considering the competition. It is also said to feature a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera as well, so not too shabby.
[alert type=alert-blue ]3) What’s Under The Hood[/alert]
There’s no point having a ‘super phone’ unless the specs can back that up, and well it looks like the Moto X will be a beast. Rumours point towards having a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 320 GPU.
[alert type=alert-blue ]4) The Screen[/alert]
The Moto X is said to feature a gorgeous 4.7-inch display using ‘Magic Glass’, which is essentially a derivative of Corning’s Gorilla Glass but it wraps around the smartphone’s bezel. If all that sounds exciting, then so should the resolution which is 1,184 x 720 pixels, not quite full HD but still HD.
[alert type=alert-blue ]5) The Extras[/alert]
What’s a phone without the bells and whistles, and the Moto X will have plenty. According to a video demo the Moto X will be listening to every word you say using the Open Mic feature. As for hardware, it’s set to have 16GB of storage and NFC on-board but there won’t be a MicroSD card slot. You’ll also not be getting the latest version of Android with Android 2.2.2 reportedly on the table. If you have an iPhone 5 then you’re the only one that has a nano SIM, but apparently that won’t be for much longer with the Moto X also set to join the exclusive club.
What do you want to see from the Moto X? Is there a specific feature that would make this the phone of your dreams? Let us know in the comments below.
