Pebble ‘update-pa-looza’ rings in a host of changes for the smartwatch on Android and iOS

Pebble has rolled out one of its biggest ever updates to its smartwatch today. Users can look forward to new firmware, as well as updated apps on both Android and iOS. The Pebble firmware update is available through the Pebble app store, whilst app updates are available through Google Play/iOS App Store updates.

It’s not just updates that are available either – for the first time, Pandora is now available on Pebble for Android users. The automated recommendation internet radio service has been accessible via Pebble for iOS users for some time now, but now Android users can get in on the action. And a good thing too, as Pebble is the first wearable to accommodate Pandora.

The smartphone app on Android has received a hotfix to prevent crashes, whilst its iOS equivalent now has additional Javascript apps enabled. The firmware update itself has added  the ability to clear notification history, better Bluetooth connectivity, fixed caller ID, improved battery monitoring, and bug fixes.

As this update has only just gone live, users may have to wait a while before receiving any or all of its desired effects, depending on location.
