There’s a wealth of excellent iOS titles out there that you’ll probably never play because, frankly, they cost a lot. It’s sad but true, and it’s something we’re all guilty of. One such title which might have slipped by you upon its release is The Wolf Among Us, which now spans three separate episodes. At £2.99 (which is what, like… £10,000 in mobile gaming currency, right?) its price might have been enough to put you off buying it outright – until now.

Courtesy of the lovely people at IGN, the Wolf Among Us: Episode 1 is entirely free to download, from now until the end of the month. That means that you can sink your teeth into one of the most engrossing and original titles on iOS and decide whether or not you want to continue the adventure – there’s currently another two episodes available with a further two planned for a later release date. Simply click through to this link to get your digital copy. Once you have your code up on screen, either click to download it directly (if you’re viewing on mobile), or head in to the iOS App Store, tap on ‘Redeem’ and enter it manually.

It’s worth the (minimal) effort, too – The Wolf Among Us is likely unlike anything else you’ve ever played on mobile. A gritty, noire drama set in an alternate reality where dark iterations of famous fairytale characters exist, it throws you in to the middle of an increasingly elaborate string of murders and tasks you with getting to the bottom of things. Its wonderful cell-shaded visuals complement the graphic novel theme perfectly, and its got a pulsating synth soundtrack too, so be sure to plug in some headphones.
