Nokia patents licensed to Samsung for another 5 years, price not set

You might not think Nokia and Samsung have much to do with each other, but Samsung actually licenses several Nokia patents, and said license has just been extended.

The agreement was scheduled to come to a close at the end of this year, but will now live on for another five. Samsung will be paying added compensation to Nokia from the first day of 2014, though just how much won’t be settled until 2015.

See? We can all just get along. Which Nokia patents have been licensed isn’t specified, but you can bet you’d find them by looking at some of the more unique features of the Lumia brand.
