Google Glass party barge being prepped for sail

What’s the best way to demo the Google Glass? An overblown pair for everyone to gaze at? Giving a set to Ellie Goulding to use during a show? How about a set of showrooms complete with a party deck, all sitting on a Google Glass party barge?

We like that idea.

Google is said to be prepping such a beast in San Francisco. At least, that’s what local CBS station KPIX 5 reports. The barge will apparently welcome Google’s Glass Explorers (read: early adopters). Inside, they’ll be walked through the Glass and given the chance to tinker with it themselves.

The plan is for the floating store to show up Apple’s own outlets. Which, y’know, will be pretty easy based on the fact it floats.  It’s contracted out of 40-foot shipping containers, allowing for quick assembly at any given space.

It’s a pretty epic idea. Let’s hope that we’ll all get to experience it as the launch of the Glass comes up. All aboard the Google Glass party barge.
