Nexus 4 no longer with us, removed from Google Play

It’s been a long time since its release, around this time last year, but the Nexus 4 has lived up to its expectations of being one of the best Android devices of all time. Unfortunately, everything must die, and the Nexus 4 has been put to bed by Google, with it officially being unlisted from the Google Play store.

We’re not exactly surprised by the removal, after all we’ve got the far better and shinier Nexus 5 in the Play Store now, although it’s the complete opposite of what Apple typically does — sell last year’s model for a cheaper price.

If you’re really hopeful to get a Nexus 4, then you may be able to find it with third-party retailers, but they are likely to be in short supply — so you won’t be able to buy it for that discounted price of just $199.
