Details of the new LG Nexus and Huawei Nexus have been leaked, including the news that they may have fingerprint scanners.

The plural of nexus is still nexus, which is fortunate for both LG and Huawei. The models do seem to be slightly different in size, with potential variations in hard drive size, memory, screen resolution, and battery size, among others.

Nexus specifications?

The LG model will reportedly be smaller than the larger Huawei phone, with a correspondingly smaller screen at 5.2” for the LG, while Huawei boasts a giant 5.7” display. The full size suggested for the LG is 46.9 x 72.9 x 8/9.8mm, making it also thicker than the Huawei which clocks in at a possible 159.4 x 78.3 x 6.6/8.5mm.

Both are reported to have front facing speakers, a fingerprint sensor on the back (not the front; an interesting choice), and USB Type-C connections. Type-Cs look similar to micro-USB connectors, but look like flattened ovals from the top. They’re also reversible, meaning that it doesn’t matter which way up you plug the connector in.

The leaks also mention that both are likely to have metal bodies, though some rumours suggest that the LG version will only have a cheaper metal frame as opposed to the full metal build attributed to the Huawei model.
