A technology website has released several detailed images and specs of the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 2.
A detailed leak revealing various specs and images of the imminent Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has been posted online by mobile technology website “G For Games“. The leak shows various photos of the device from all angles, showing the screen, camera sensor and rear cover. It’s a fairly minimalistic design that takes cues from other devices in the line-up. Both the front and rear panels are incredibly bare aside from the camera sensors.
The leak goes on to detail plenty of specs, which make the device sound like an attractive purchase for those who want an ‘affordable flagship’. It’s said to feature a MediaTek MT6795M processor, which is a seriously high-end chip that easily competes with the best that Qualcomm has to offer. The processor will be backed up with 2GB RAM – an amount that can’t quite match the best but should be enough given the phone’s mid-range market status. Add to this a 5.5-inch Full HD display, 16GB internal storage memory plus a very generous 3,020mAh battery and you have a package that should be very lucrative.
It’s expected to be a pretty cheap device, with a rumoured retail price of only $199 in Asia. Expect it to cost more in Europe if it ever reaches our shores. However, with Xiaomi’s recent expansion plans slowly coming into fruition, who knows?
