We’ve seen plenty of the Moto 360 smartwatch from Motorola in official clips and images.
Most of these promotional items have kept the highly anticipated wearable firmly clasped on the user’s wrist. Motorola has also held back from revealing a full-range of specs and accessories for the device.
Luckily, that has all changed thanks to a barrage of newly leaked pics courtesy of the Italian leaker Mr Gadget. Despite @evleaks unfortunate retirement, it seems that there are plenty of successors to his throne.
This latest batch of leaked pics not only reveal a wireless charging hub for the device but also plenty more information about its specs, dimensions and features.
As you can see in the image below the Moto 360 does indeed have a wireless charger, which the smartwatch has been docked in to.
Motorola had previously touted the Moto 360’s wireless capabilities, and it wasn’t lying.
As shown in the images, the charger cradles the smartwatch, conveniently keeping it upright and facing outwards so you can check the display and battery power status.
In another image (see below), the Moto 360 is placed next to its Android Wear counterpart; the LG G Watch. Looking at the two devices side by side, you notice that Motorola’s round-faced wearable is actually quite similar in size to its rectangular rival.
A picture of the back of the face, embedded below, reveals additional details about the Moto 360’s features.
As you can see, the engraved text on the back clearly states the use of “stainless steel” to create the device’s case, an “optical heart rate sensor” and a useful IP67 water-resistance rating.
Finally, Mr Gadget – who has obviously been lucky enough to acquire the gadget early – claims that the Moto 360’s round shape will require Android Wear developers to create custom-made apps for the device. Consequently, he adds that the Mini Launcher will not work with Motorola’s wearable.
Google announced a late summer launch date for the Moto 360 at its I/O conference. So, not long to go now.
