Update: Scratch all that, the thing’s been announced. Everything we mentionned below is on the money, plus there’s a few more details. The phone weighs in at 177g with a 6-inch, 720p display.

Original Story: We’ve written plenty about curved smartphones over the past month, and now we’ve got some more LG G Flex info.

According to CNET, a Korean news site has posted and since removed a story about the flexed phone. It promised the same kind of specs we’ve been hearing all along: a 2.26GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and a 3500mAh battery.

The most interesting part, of that the phone’s top-to-bottom curve? It’s apparently self-repairing.

According to the report the phone will have a scratch-resistant cover that will be able to remove blemishes all by itself and in a matter of minutes. We’re not sure how it could pull something like this off, but hats off to LG if true.

Sadly, we know that the phone isn’t planned for a UK release at this time. The same thing goes for the Samsung Galaxy Round, which is the other curved kid on the block. Expect more LG G Flex info as we near an official announcement.
