Move on over xWatch, Microsoft is looking to get into the glasses game, hoping to take Google Glass head-on with Kinect Glasses.

According to the patent application that was filed in early 2012, the company has been working on a “head-mounted display” for the Xbox.

Whilst this isn’t exactly Google Glass, they could be WiFi or 4G enabled meaning that Kinect Glasses could be used for a variety of different situations other than gaming.

According to the patent the head-mounted display will be able to locate users, track gestures, and read the game player’s environment — much like the current Kinect, but on your face.
