The problem with putting the number two in your original product is you then have to include two twos in the sequel. LG has broken through that wall with the LG Optimus L2 II, which makes no apologies for its awkward naming.
The phone has been announced exclusively for Australian carrier Optus. It comes at a price of AU$99 with a pre-paid SIM card. Despite coming through this carrier alone, the phone supports dual SIM cards, meaning you’ll be able to add another carrier into the other slot. Your second card will likely be used for calls and texting The first remains locked to Opus, unless you pay AU$80 to unlock it (AU$25 for users on at least six months or over).
Elsewhere the L2 II hardly raises any eyebrows. It has a 3.2 inch display that runs at 240 x 320, a 3 MP rear-facing camera and support for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The single-core processor isn’t specified, but don’t expect anything fancy given these other specs. Still, as a low cost phone the LG Optimus L2 II (still a bad name) is hardly a disaster.
