Rumours are swirling around LG’s latest flagship device, the latest rumour being we will see the G5 in February instead of Q2 of 2016.
The revelation of the new V10 line was a signal of LG’s intention to create their devices with more premium materials. We are expecting the G5 to sport an all metal body instead of the plastic seen on the G4.
There are also murmurs of LG working on the weaknesses of the G4 – the lack of biometric security and improving the camera. A fingerprint sensor is a given, seeing as it has now become the norm in smartphone tech. On the snapper front we could be seeing an increase to 20-21 megapixels for the main camera and 8 megapixels for the selfie cam. Hopefully LG will implement the dual camera seen on the V10, for those extra special big selfies.
The V10 has a dual screens and if we see this on the G5 with it’s QHD display, we could potentially see the V10 becoming insignificant. But it’s most likely some of these features will remain exclusive to the V10, to retain it’s USP and above all, keep it selling. LG will power it with Snapdragon 820, instead of going for second best like they did with the G4.
