It seems like forever since LG announced the G Pad 8.3 back at the start of September, but after a lot of speculation revolving around a ‘fourth quarter 2014’ launch in Europe, we now have official dates for the UK — well kind of. According to a blog posting on LG’s UK blog, the company plans to launch the G Pad 8.3 in the run-up to Christmas, partnering exclusively with Micro P. Those of you in Ireland have a more solid release date on the other hand, with Harvey Norman exclusively offering the 8.3-inch tablet from the end of October.

At £259.99, the LG G Pad 8.3 is rather competitively priced against other similar Android tablets, especially considering how much bang you’re getting for your buck. As well as the 8.3-inch full HD screen, you’re also getting a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage.

When we got a brief hands-on with the tablet over at IFA, we thought it was a rather compelling choice against its competitors, and at such a low-price it sounds almost too good to be true.
