HTC One Max exclusive to Vodafone in UK, costs £600 SIM-free

If you’re hoping to pick up that ginormous HTC One Max that was unveiled yesterday and you live in the UK, then you’re going to find your options are very limited — with the phone being exclusive to Vodafone, at least for the time being.

In a blog posting on its website, Vodafone wrote:

The HTC One max is a Vodafone exclusive from launch, and will be available on a 24 month Vodafone Red 4G-ready plan from £49 upfront and just £47 each month. That’ll give you the choice of Spotify Premium or Sky Sports Mobile TV access, along with 2GB of data each month. Fancy a #4GBonus? There’s an extra 4GB each month on offer if you sign up before the end of October. Swish.

If that sounds like a lot of money, then that’s probably because it is — but you’re not going to find it any cheaper, with a 32GB One Max setting you back £600 at Mobilefun.co.uk, with the 16GB not even available from the site.

With the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 available with more networks and retailers, it’s likely that the head-to-head battle has already been won — but we’ll reserve judgement until our full review is out. If you’re desperate to pick up a HTC One Max, then it’ll be going on sale this week.
