Leaked Sony Xperia Z5 images reveal 23 megapixel camera

Press images of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z5 have leaked which seem to confirm the existence of a 23 megapixel Exmor RS sensor.

One image in particular appears to show a de-constructed sensor arrangement with the various optical layers. The phone is rumoured to have a very advanced hybrid autofocus system, which is backed up by 6 layers of lens glass. The expected size of the sensor array is 1/2.3″, which puts it up there with the best smartphone cameras around.
