iPhone 7 Plus comparison video shows great detail

An iPhone 7 Plus comparison video has surfaced on YouTube, pretty much confirming the existence of the new plus sized device and confirming feature rumours.

We thought we saw everything we need to see about the iPhone 7, but popular YouTube channel Unbox Therapy has today given us an even clearer look at the rumoured iPhone 7 Plus. Presenter Lewis Hilsenteger goes in detail about the design of the new iPhone 7 Pro, having been provided with the body of the new smartphone.

For the iPhone 7 Plus comparison video, Hilsenteger was provided with the body by Besound, a wireless headphone developer based in China.

We see a lot of hardware changed in Hilsenteger’s hands-on video, coming to the larger 5.5-inch model iPhone 7. From the video’s analysis we see the adopting of a dual-camera system, omission of the 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-blasting bottom speakers, Smart connector on the back and a new mysterious blue colour option (which has been rumoured too).

iPhone 7 Plus comparison video reveals slimmer frame

Hilsenteger discovered the new iPhone 7 Plus is a tiny bit slimmer, using a digital caliper. The iPhone 6s Plus measures in at 7.18mm, whereas the iPhone 7 Plus mock up is 7.14, this shouldn’t be taken too seriously as the caliper might not be providing an accurate reading.

There’s not a lot we don’t know about the iPhone 7 Pro or Plus or whatever Apple decides to call it. A September release date is expected, as Apple usually launch a new device near then.
