Intel to drop out of smartphone market next year?

Intel is a big name in the desktop and computer sector, but the company hasn’t seen similar success with its smartphone business. In fact, it’s been rumoured that the outlet is considering exiting from the market in 2015.

A report from DigiTimes suggests that Intel has launched an internal evaluation as to whether to continue using resources in the handset business.

Asustek has recently incorporated Intel’s chips into its ZenFone series. It’s thought that the company will announced more Intel-based handsets in the next few months.
