Instagram finally gets account management in update

Managing multiple accounts is now finally possible thanks to the latest Instagram update.

It’s a much requested feature that people have been crying out for and this week, it seems we will finally be able to manage multiple accounts from our Instagram applications. Previously, the only option was to Jailbrake/download third-party options such as Instwogram, but it now seems that users will be able to fully control several user accounts within the main app. The feature has been in beta testing since November and finally rolled out today, with a maximum of five accounts supported.

The implementation is pretty slick; the bottom right icon now shows the active account image rather than a simple profile icon. Clicking and holding the button will bring up a drop-down menu of all your linked accounts, then it’s simply a case of picking between them to choose the one you want.

The app version number is 7.15, so head to the Google Play Store or App Store now to check if you have latest version.
