After finally making the HTC One Mini official, all eyes have turned onto the One variant that has been heavily rumoured — the HTC One Max.

This time we’ve learnt more than we ever have before and we’ve even had a photo thrown in for good measure.

The 5.9-inch HTC One Max appeared on Taiwanese site ePrice with specs allegedly being higher than that of the HTC One.

The battery is rumoured to be some 1,000 mAh larger than the One’s with the HTC One Max featuring a 3,300 mAh battery — which will be needed to power the much larger screen and 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor. Like the Moto X, the HTC One Max is purported to have 2GB of RAM.

According to eSite, the HTC One Max won’t only be coming with a single SIM card slot in all markets, with a dual-SIM variant currently being testing in China with a detachable rear cover for easy access to the SIM tray and microSD card slot. This would be a big departure from the HTC One and One Mini, which both had their SIM slots on the side of the device.

The HTC One Max is rumoured to be HTC’s attempt at taking Samsung head-on in the phablet game, a market that the company doesn’t really have a flagship in.
